Introducing Propylene 150
Propylene 150 was developed in 2023 and 2024 by Fluorchem Corporation Fluorochemical Operations. Like its predecessor Propylene 204, it is a proprietary formula based off hexafluoropropylene where the product derives its name from.
Propylene 150 has very similar properties to Propylene 204 however it has a significantly stronger effect at reducing friction with increased dry lubricant properties.
Propylene 150 also has much strong water and oil repellent properties as after application to the desired surface, any water beings to form into large beads and quickly run away.

Development of Propylene 150
Development programme for Propylene 150 was launched in January 2023 as a possible replacement for Propylene 204. The first demonstration product of Propylene 150 was produced in October 2023. Our preliminary testing determined that Propylene 150 performed better than Propylene 204 on multiple testing criteria including long term effectiveness, lubrication capability and water & oil repulsion effectiveness.
Propylene 150 was expected to be rolled out in April 2024 however, due to extended testing being undertaken, release was delayed until 2025. Fluorchem Corporation does not have a current estimated release date for Propylene 150 as development is currently ongoing.
