Fluorchem Corporation began operations on January 1, 2020, with a primary focus on nylon, chlorine disinfectants/cleaners and fluorochemicals. Our main product lines including nylon, chlorine and solvents were operated under Fluorchem Corp commercial operations, at www.fluorchem.ca. 

On January 10, 2020, Fluorchem Corporation Advanced Materials was created as a separate division of Fluorchem Corp operating under pfas.fluorchem.ca, to design, manufacture and sell our Propylene class of PFAS based surface protectors and lubricants for surface protection and nylon coating/finishing. 

As the global regulatory landscape surrounding PFAS has continued to evolve rapidly since 2023, PFAS.Fluorchem has shifted its focus from the commercial manufacture and sale of PFAS products, stopping commercial PFAS production and sales in 2025 contuning only R&D work for potential future re-introduction. Fluorchem PFAS transitioned in January 2025 toward the research and development of next-generation HFO and HCFO technologies. 

This transition has been a natural progression due to the significant overlap in fluorochemical chemistry and intermediates as well as similar manufacturing processes. In many cases, the same or closely related intermediates and production capabilities can be applied directly to HFO and HCFO development.

By building on our existing expertise and infrastructure, we have been able to transition efficiently into the development of lower-impact technologies for air conditioning, refrigeration, spray foam, and other applications, while maintaining a strong focus on product quality, process efficiency, and scalable manufacturing.
