HCFOs: Helping the Ozone Layer and Reducing UV Induced Skin Cancer
Next-generation Hydrochlorofluoroolefins (HCFOs) offer a dramatically reduced impact on the ozone layer compared with legacy chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) and hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) technologies. Their very short atmospheric lifetimes result in an ultra-low ozone depletion potential, helping support the continued protection and recovery of the stratospheric ozone layer.
