How to use Propylene 204 

Propylene 204 applies clear and colourless. It is important to use this product in a well-ventilated area. If this is impossible, a NIOSH approved respirator for organic vapours should be worn. Before applying, test product on a small inconspicuous part of the object being coated to ensure the finish is what is expected as Propylene 204 has no method developed for its removal.

For best results, hold can, 6 inches (15cm) from the surface and overlap spray using slow-sweeping motion. A few thin coats is better than one thick coat. 

As Propylene 204 is a product designed to provide a non-stick finish as well as other features, it is imperative that this product is not sprayed on floors, stairs, or other floor surfaces as this product provides an extremely slippery finish. When sprayed, it can not be removed, for permanent application only. 

Product Discontinuation 

Propylene 204 has been discontinued by Fluorchem Corporation Fluorochemical Operations and production ended on 31 December 2023. 

Propylene 204 was discontinued for several reasons including poor application quality, loss of propellant pressure after few uses, and manufacturing defects resulting in extremely long drying times. 

We are continuing development on new formulations for our new Non-Stick Aerosol products including Propylene 150.
