Refrigerant Reprocessing

Restoring recovered non-virgin refrigerants through controlled purification and reprocessing to help extend material life, and prevent release of prevent the release of powerful global warming and ozone-depleting substances into the atmosphere.

Fluorchem reprocesses recovered non-virgin refrigerants to extend their useful life, reduce waste, and prevent the release of high-GWP gases and ozone-depleting substances to help our atmosphere and promote recycling.

Please note: Reprocessing operations are planned to commence commercially in 2028 pending regulatory and product approvals. Fluorchem Corporation does not currently accept refrigerants for commercial reprocessing. Operations are pilot and research only.

Refrigerant Reprocessing Operations

At Fluorchem Corporation, we are responsible for safely conducting the chemical reprocessing process of refrigerant gases.

We receive non-virgin recovered refrigerants ranging from CFCs, to HCFCs and HFCs at our B208 facility. Refrigerants are fed into B208 which processes and removes oils, moisture, particulates, and other contaminants to restore usable refrigerant for appropriate applications to a near-virgin like state at AHRI-700 specifications for purity.

By recovering and reprocessing these materials, we help extend their useful life, reduce waste, conserve resources, and prevent the release of high-global-warming-potential gases and ozone-depleting substances into the atmosphere.
